Nairobi – This month marks a major milestone for Kenya Airways as the flagship carrier turns 47 years old. To celebrate nearly five decades of reimagining African air travel, the airline is offering customers up to 15% off flights booked by January 29th for travel throughout 2024.

Today, Kenya Airways flies to over 56 destinations worldwide. It provides critical trade and tourism links between African countries. The airline also connects Africa to key overseas markets in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.

As Board Chair Michael Joseph noted, “Kenya Airways is proud to represent the spirit of Africa worldwide. Our skilled team enables the seamless movement of people and goods that drives development.”

Kenya Airways has embraced innovation across its 47-year history. It was among the first carriers to install inflight WiFi and self-service kiosks in Africa. The airline recently launched a modern mobile app and partnered with Delta Air Lines to boost connectivity.

Despite turbulence from COVID-19, Kenya Airways continues elevating African aviation. The anniversary sale is the airline’s way of thanking customers for their loyalty over the decades.

As Kenya Airways charts its course for the next 47 years, it remains committed to sustaining Africa’s growth. Through dedication and resilience, the airline reflects the dynamism of Africa rising by connecting the continent to itself and the planet.
